• The passive aggressive jabs that continue to swirl around J.J. and Henry Abrams writing Spider-Man make the comic book crowd look like such unapproachable assholes. Anything that gets books in front of more people should be considered a win for everyone in my opinion.

  • A great shot from the wrap-up of our stream this past weekend.

Extra Life North raised $73k (on a goal of $50k) for the Children’s Miracle Network and the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. I’m so proud of our whole team for getting it done.

  • Control

Control is crazy cool, like Fringe meets Quantum Break. It’s got everything you’d expect from a game by Remedy and a couple new surprises along the way. Though I’m not super deep into it yet, I still highly recommend giving it a look.

  • While watching a movie, my son finds a dude getting shot in the ass with a dart particularly funny. It's clear I've passed on all the wisdom I can to him.

  • After only one day with iOS 13 installed, I reverted back to 12. I think I’ve realized that I really just need a dependable, functional device to keep notes, take photos of my kid, listen to music, etc. Or maybe I’m just old. 🤷‍♂️

  • For all the negativity online, I enjoyed Tom King’s Knightmares arc on Batman. Aside from the couple Flash crossover issues, the main story was pretty great and the payoff in issue #70 was worth it in my opinion.

  • I quickly jumped over to the Google Store and pre-ordered the Stadia Founder's Edition before remembering that the games available at launch are not exclusives, and use a controller instead of a keyboard/mouse.

    Sooo I'm cancelling... I think?

  • Marvel adding Patrick Gleason to the rotation of Amazing Spider-Man artists is yet another slam dunk for the book. It’ll be tough to see Humberto Ramos go but I’m sure it’s not the last time we’ll see him drawing Spidey.

  • I was browsing Twitter tonight and noticed someone asking followers what the first RPG they remember playing was.

While I’m not certain it was the first one I played, I distinctly remember playing through the entirely of Secret of Evermore on the SNES. I loved traveling through the different realms, seeing what changed… and the dog was super cool. 🐕

  • The campaign in Far Cry: New Dawn has some of the worst pacing I’ve ever seen in a game. An otherwise entertaining, action-packed Far Cry title blows it in the 11th hour by dropping you into sluggish, uninteresting missions. Very disappointing.
